I was in the market for new cam, and for a long time have followed Crye Multicam, even before it was widely popular.
Now thanks to the growing market for this pattern, companies like Tru-Spec make them affordable to the masses.
The average price for the set is roughly $170ish for the 50/50 Cotton/Nylon rip-stop.
I can get them at a better price through a local dealer that will beat most anyones prices, even all sellers on the internet that I have found.
Anyhow I did go with the TRU, which stands for
"TACTICAL RESPONSE UNIFORM"
rather than the standard BDU.
This type has a military styling to them, with an ACU cut with a generous amount of pockets, and storage areas, including knee and elbow pad compartments.
I can tell you that they seem to have a very good build, and they look very rugged and reliable for rough use.
As for the coloration, its guarantied to be good, as its made of genuine Crye multicam fabric.
Anyhow, I took them out today for a few pictures, and to see how the pattern worked with my local surrounding.
Just as the pictures some of you may have seen on the net, the pattern seems to adapt to just about any environment and lighting condition, better than any other pattern I have seen thus far.
In my opinion, the pattern is far cooler looking than any of the other current patterns, and the fact that it works as well as it looks is even better!
Here are a few pics for you to look at.
PS. If your interested in getting your own set, let me know what your after size wise, and I can hook you up with my dealer to beat most prices else where, and if you plan to make an order for 5 or more sets, for things like team orders, I can get the 50/50 TRU sets for $100 each, which is far less than you will pay anywhere else.
